The first US Red Bull Air Race is this weekend in Indianapolis, IN at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With Michael’s personal passion for motor racing, it’s a rush for him to be inside the track standing in Gasoline Alley and other legendary track spots that he only has the chance to see on tv. The team and race plane are both in great shape to start practice runs on the track on Friday.

indy-hannesdecalIt’s been a long season abroad and Team 99 is glad to be on home turf and look forward to seeing all the US fans. For this race, we will honor the memory of race team pilot and friend, Hannes Arch, by flying his number and initials on the tail of the race plane.

It’s not too late to get to the speedway for Saturday and Sunday’s qualifying runs and race. Get your tickets here. New this year in the USA: all Reserved Seat ticket holders can also purchase a hangar pass to get up close to the pilots and their machines. Before this was only available for VIP ticket holders. We hope to see you at the hangar.

Fans outside the US can watch the live stream and fans inside the US can watch the live feed (no video) at: redbullairrace.com/live. Check out the official schedule for start times.

Go #team99!
